Operating a Fund

The Asset Manager permission model and confirmed-write workflow for V3 Distressed Recovery Fund management.

A fund is assigned to one Asset Manager entity and uses scoped team permissions. Being able to open an assigned fund does not grant every action in that fund.

PermissionPermitted operational area
SettingsSchedule the next epoch template and close/open epochs when the time conditions are met.
TradingExecute approved acquisitions, manage direct sales, create and manage auctions, and create and finalize RFQs.
OperationsEnable and finalize in-kind claim periods and perform bounded operational actions.
AuditReview scoped fund records and activity without implying trading authority.

Before a write

  1. Confirm that the connected wallet belongs to the active Asset Manager entity and holds the required fund permission.
  2. Review the canonical fund row, side pocket, sale, auction, RFQ, or pause state.
  3. Enter only the action's bounded terms and evidence reference in the Workspace Update review flow.
  4. For acquisition, sale reservation, workout, or in-kind distribution, confirm that the required exact Protocol Manager approval is current and matches the entered terms.
  5. Submit the wallet action and wait for the post-write index and persisted read-model refresh.

After a write

The successful state is the refreshed canonical workspace record: a new side pocket, sale status, auction status, RFQ status, proceeds amount, pause row, fee row, or activity event. If the record is absent or shows a blocked state, treat the operation as incomplete and resolve the recorded reason before attempting another write.

Asset Manager boundaries

The Asset Manager manages only assigned fund inventory and scoped fund actions. It cannot alter an originating vault's loss accounting, reprice a redemption claim, transfer investors' claim units, bypass a buyer's eligibility, or redirect an unapproved asset lot.
