Epochs and Capital
How Asset Managers review recovery-fund capital and schedule the next V3 funding epoch within approved caps.
An epoch is the fund's capital window. Investors subscribe with the fund quote asset while an epoch is open. Once the epoch closes, idle capital can be committed to governed acquisitions; only capital that remains idle is available for an idle redemption.
Review epoch inventory
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Epoch | The fund's sequential capital window. |
| Status | Whether the epoch is open or closed. |
| Deposited | Quote assets subscribed into the epoch. |
| Withdrawn | Idle quote assets redeemed from the epoch. |
| Scheduled Close | The earliest time at which the current open epoch can close. |
Schedule the next epoch
Members with the fund Settings permission can schedule the next epoch template, within protocol-set caps. The review includes the following values:
| Input | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Epoch Duration | Sets the duration of the next funding window. |
| Minimum Deposit | Sets the smallest quote-asset subscription accepted for that epoch. |
| Maximum Epoch Capacity | Caps total quote-asset subscriptions in the epoch. |
| Performance Fee | Sets the side-pocket performance-fee rate for that epoch. |
| Preferred Return | Sets the side-pocket preferred-return rate for that epoch. |
| Evidence Hash | Binds the scheduled terms to its evidence record. |
The next template does not change the current epoch or the fee terms already captured by existing side pockets. Closing the current epoch and opening the next one requires the configured close time and the fund settings permission.
Capital boundary
Do not treat total subscribed capital as available acquisition capital. A recovery acquisition can use only the idle capital of its named, closed epoch and only when the exact acquisition terms have received their separate approval.
